Our plant of the week this week is Leucanthemum x superbum ‘Aglaia’. ‘Aglaia’ is an herbaceous perennial with dark green, glossy leave that bears large, double frilly white daisy-like flowers with yellow centres. This Shasta daisies is a beautiful addition to any sunny border. The frilly double white flowers are real show stoppers and excellent as a cut flower.
This Leucanthemum likes sun to partial shady spot, with just normal garden soil. It flowers from mid-summer and will continue to flower if any faded flowers are removed. This encourages a new stem to appear, making the plant flower right into the early autumn. Propagate bydivision in early spring or late summer.
