Galium odoratum

A delicate, low-growing woodland perennial with whorls of bright green, lance-shaped leaves that form a soft carpet-like groundcover. In late spring, it produces small, star-shaped white flowers that lightly perfume the air, especially noticeable in the evening or after rain. It spreads gently to create a naturalised, shaded understorey effect in gardens.
